Harrison.ai vs Canon Medical AI

Canon's AiCE deep-learning reconstruction is cleared as part of scanner models such as Vantage Galan 3T V10.0 and Aquilion Precision, and 28 of Canon's 98 openFDA clearances since 2018 carry AiCE or AiCE-i in the device name. Canon claims up to 82.4% dose reduction, a figure from a phantom model-observer study. Annalise reads images and flags findings on chest X-ray, head CT and chest CT, with PACS and RIS adapters and NHS deployments on Sectra and Philips PACS.

One is a scanner purchase and the other a software purchase. A department replacing a CT or MR system gets AiCE in the quote, and a department that wants help reading chest films looks at Annalise. Where a department keeps its current scanners and asks vendors what AI they can add, Canon's AiCE is out of the running, since its clearances are for scanners that include the AI reconstruction. Canon's other AI software, such as Olea, is cleared under Olea Medical's own applicant name. Annalise has FDA records from February 2022 onward and sells by enterprise quote.
