These two sit in different parts of the budget. The AiCE decisions in Canon's FDA record are for scanner systems, from Vantage MR to Aquilion CT, and Canon also lists Olea software for neuro, perfusion and breast work. Siemens sells AI-Rad Companion as software modules on teamplay, with DICOM SR and PACS delivery.
For lung screening or radiation oncology, the Siemens modules are the relevant ones. Chest CT covers nodules and coronary calcium, the Prostate MR module's 510(k) was updated in September 2025, and Organs RT contouring received a new decision in April 2026. A 2021 BMC Medicine study of 117 low-dose CT patients reported nodule sensitivity of 1 and specificity of 0.708, so false positives come with that sensitivity. The chest X-ray module is footnoted as not for sale in the U.S.
A 3T MR or CT purchase made for speed and dose points to Canon, which cites up to 82.4% dose reduction from a phantom study.
