Clarius vs Hyperfine Swoop
Swoop's setting is the ICU and resource-limited sites, where a 0.064T brain MRI runs without a shielded room. Hyperfine's FY2025 10-K summary describes ownership plus an annual software, service and support agreement after a one-year warranty, on 36 or 60 month terms. An older Scientific Reports paper estimated about $50,000 per system (currency not stated), against roughly $1.2M for conventional MRI in the filing (currency not stated).
Clarius sells a wireless ultrasound that uses a phone or tablet as the display, for a clinic scanning at the bedside with that setup. The vendor says Auto Preset AI selects the preset for FAST exams and that its scanners reach 40,000+ clinicians in 70+ countries. Its page lists cardiac, vascular and acute care regions. For a hospital ICU buying its first bedside imaging device, Swoop loses unless the question is intracranial, because Swoop is a brain MRI.
