Exo vs Hyperfine Swoop

Hyperfine's Swoop is a 0.064T brain MRI that needs no shielded room, and ICU bedside use is the setting its reviews praise. Hyperfine trades on Nasdaq (HYPR) from Guilford, Connecticut, and reported about $37.9M in cash in its preliminary Q3 2026 results. Its FY2025 10-K summary describes ownership plus an annual software, service and support agreement after a one-year warranty, on 36- or 60-month terms. A Malawi case review notes lower signal-to-noise and resolution, longer scans and no contrast-enhanced T1.

Exo's August 2026 release offers Iris as a subscription-free option after one-time activation, with price through its store or sales team, and gives no Exo Works Connect terms. The vendor says its AI covers cardiac, lung and fluid assessment for point-of-care clinicians, and openFDA lists eight records.

An ICU asking for brain MRI at the bedside buys Swoop. A clinician scanning the chest and heart at the point of care carries Exo. A critical access hospital with both a brain question and a chest question has two different imaging problems, and each tool answers one.
