Eyenuk vs TeraRecon
EyeArt works from color fundus photographs taken on Canon CR-2 AF, Canon CR-2 Plus AF or, per a vendor release in June 2023, Topcon NW400 cameras. A diabetes clinic that already owns one of those cameras gets what Eyenuk describes as a retinopathy grade without an ophthalmologist. openFDA lists two EyeArt decisions, K200667 on August 3, 2020 and K223357 on June 16, 2023.
Retinal photographs and CT or MR studies are different images, so the two products answer separate questions. TeraRecon is advanced visualization first. Its home page lists TeraRecon AV, Intuition, TR Neuro, DETECT and an AI Framework for third-party algorithms, and its own cleared algorithms include Aorta.CT (K243158, January 23, 2025) and Cardiac.Chambers.MR (K241312, November 5, 2024). Hospital radiology departments receive DICOM and HL7 results from the framework in their reporting systems.
