A memory clinic monitoring patients on amyloid antibodies has a use for icobrain aria, K240712 from November 7, 2024, which icometrix says detects ARIA-E and ARIA-H on MRI. A hospital network moving stroke patients between sites has a use for Viz.ai, which alerts care teams through a mobile app, coordinates transfer, and says in its July 2026 release that it is embedded in 2,000 hospitals. The two solve different problems, so the buyers differ.

Viz.ai's first De Novo, ContaCT (DEN170073, February 13, 2018), was granted under code QAS for large-vessel occlusion on CTA. The vendor claims 13 FDA clearances, while openFDA shows 12 records, 10 510(k)s and 2 De Novos.

For a network justifying the spend, a 2025 meta-analysis of 12 studies and 15,595 patients found shorter door-to-groin time (SMD -0.47) and door-in-door-out time (SMD -0.49) but no significant difference in clinical outcomes.
