Indica Labs HALO AI vs Sectra Pathology

Scanner coverage is the first thing that separates the cleared products. Sectra's April 2024 clearance for primary diagnosis names the Leica Aperio GT 450 DX alone, while Indica's HALO AP Dx names that scanner and the Hamamatsu NanoZoomer S360MD. A health system that wants pathology, radiology and genomics images in one viewer, with AI apps bought through one contract, is Sectra's buyer. Indica serves groups that tune their own segmentation and phenotyping classifiers, such as a cancer center doing biomarker quantification. That cancer center has little reason to choose Sectra, whose AI comes from marketplace vendors and whose own image analysis covers tools such as cell counting and AI-assisted cancer grading workflows. HALO AI classifiers run on brightfield and fluorescence slides, and HALO Prostate AI is CE-IVD marked. Both vendors sell by quote.
