Indica Labs HALO AI vs Vesta
HALO AI is a train-by-example classifier add-on for research. Indica's cleared and marked products sit beside it: HALO AP Dx with two 510(k)s, and HALO Prostate AI, CE-IVD marked, which detects and grades prostate adenocarcinoma in core needle biopsies. The vendor says it has deployments in all top 20 pharma companies, and its vendor-selected testimonials come from academic centers and the NCI.
Valar says it returns a Vesta report about 3 days after the sample reaches its lab. It also says a high recurrence score carries twice the risk of high-grade recurrence over up to 24 months. openFDA queries under Valar returned no 510(k), while Indica's HALO AP Dx has K232833 and K252762.
Indica fits a biopharma image-analysis group or a lab that wants to tune its own classifiers. Valar fits the clinician treating bladder cancer. A biopharma group and a urologist are not weighing the same purchase.
