Tempus Digital Pathology vs Vesta

Paige Prostate Detect holds FDA De Novo DEN200080, decided September 21, 2021, and CE-IVDR marking, and Tempus says it cuts reading time by 20%. It has to run on specific scanners and viewers. Paige Predict, Breast Detect and most of the other apps are labeled research use only. The Prostate Grade and Quantify and Perineural Invasion apps are CE-IVDR and RUO, and the FullFocus viewer holds separate 510(k)s, K201005 and K241273. Tempus completed its Paige purchase on August 22, 2025, and its pages show no price.

The BCG claim for Vesta comes from the vendor, which says patients with its biomarker carry twice the risk of not responding. The J Urol and Eur Urol Oncol papers on it carry a Valar affiliation in PubMed. A 2026 multicenter real-world study in Cancers measured changes in management decisions. Tempus sells slide-reading software to a pathology lab with prostate biopsy volume, and the urologist treating the bladder cancer patient is the one who orders Vesta, so each has its own buyer.
