Aidoc vs Eyenuk
In the prospective multicenter trial NCT04984200, the 2023 vendor release reports 94.4% sensitivity and 91.1% specificity for more than mild diabetic retinopathy. EyeArt grades the disease from retinal photographs, and the vendor says it needs no physician overread and integrates with EPIC. It is cleared on Canon CR-2 AF and CR-2 Plus AF cameras (K200667, 2020), with the Topcon NW400 added in a 2023 update per the vendor. The FAQ says CPT 92229 has an established national Medicare price. The vendor's home page names Temple Health and Nebraska Medicine as customers. A primary care clinic or screening program with a retinal camera and diabetic patients to screen is where EyeArt applies. Aidoc reads CT rather than retinal photographs, which makes a hospital radiology department running emergency CT its purchase.
