Airs Medical vs GE HealthCare AI Suite
GE HealthCare's MRI AI is AIR Recon DL (K213717, June 2022), for which Medical Economics reports a GE claim of scan-time reduction up to 50%, and Sonic DL (K243667, June 2025), extended from cardiac to all anatomies and 7T. Airs makes the same up-to-50% claim for SwiftMR on its home page and lists GE among the scanner makers it is compatible with. GE said in July 2025 that it topped the FDA's AI list for a fourth year with 100 authorizations, a count across all specialties.
GE sells its AI with scanners or as scanner options, on enterprise quotes, so a hospital specifying new GE magnets buys the option with the scanner. An imaging operator adding reconstruction to scanners it already owns buys Airs.
