Tempus Pixel began as Arterys, which Tempus AI acquired in October 2022. A radiologist or oncologist gets lesion segmentation, longitudinal tracking and cardiac MR analysis, plus lung, breast and prostate tools that partly run on third-party engines, and the vendor's footnote says the cleared Lung module is not indicated for nodule detection in the US. The vendor claims 100+ health systems and says Pixel integrates with PACS, EHR and worklist systems, naming none. Pixel's cardiac MR update generates T1 and T2 inline maps from raw MRI data, which suits a cardiac MR program. Airs Medical sells SwiftMR to imaging sites whose limit is scanner time. A case study the vendor publishes for 3T Radiology & Research in Miami claims 56% more daily scan capacity and 200+ additional patients in the first month, and the vendor says SwiftMR shortens acquisition. Tempus describes Pixel as a tool for reading images and generating reports, so a radiology group buying reads and an imaging center buying scanner time are separate purchases.
