Connected Papers vs Elicit

A clinical fellow mapping an unfamiliar subfield needs Connected Papers. Prior Works and Derivative Works views, multi-origin graphs and saved papers come on every plan, five graphs a month are free, and Academic is EUR 4.23 per month billed as EUR 50.81 annually, drawing on the Semantic Scholar corpus. Elicit Pro at $49 per user per month billed as $588 annually adds screening and extraction columns, which do nothing for that fellow's reading list.

A guideline group double-checking data a human already pulled is Elicit's buyer. Pro screens up to 5,000 papers into 20 columns with API access. One proof of concept reported 91.0% extraction accuracy as a second reviewer, while a review of 18 studies puts average accuracy at about 74% for qualitative and 51.4% for quantitative data. Elicit's own evaluation on 994 Cochrane reviews reports 95.0% search recall, restricted to open-access papers, against 39.5% of included studies found in an independent Cochrane-linked test.
