A small group on CureMD gets its coder inside the EHR it already runs, with ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS codes and modifiers returned from the note. An emergency department group on Epic gets Nym, which holds an Epic Toolbox designation in the Fully Autonomous Coding category from August 2024 and, per a third-party profile, integrates with Epic, Oracle Health and Meditech through HL7v2 and FHIR. CureMD reports 96% first-pass accuracy and 38% fewer denials and cites no study. Nym's Inova case reports a $1.3M cut in annual ED coding costs, and its accuracy claim is over 95% in 2024 and 98% in a later blog, with no audit method stated. Nym adds a rationale per code and routes low-confidence encounters to coders. A group still undecided on its EHR faces a plain trade. CureMD's coder is built into CureMD's EHR with no word on other EHRs, while Nym names Epic, Oracle Health and Meditech.
