Elucid vs ScreenPoint Transpara
Elucid sells a plaque-quantification service for coronary CT angiograms, validated against histology according to its 2024 release, and the cleared claim is quantification to support clinicians. A cardiology group reading coronary CT angiograms is its buyer. ScreenPoint has eight 510(k) decisions for Transpara, the newest in August 2026, and a breast screening program buys Transpara on the strength of the MASAI trial. The Lancet reported it, from Lund University researchers, comparing AI-supported screening with standard double reading across 105,000 women, and the vendor says Transpara was the tool. The vendor cites sensitivity of 80.5% against 73.8% at 98.5% specificity, with a 12% lower interval cancer rate. MASAI ran in Swedish screening, so a US site without double reading cannot assume the same result.
