Gleamer vs Hyperfine Swoop

Hyperfine's Swoop is owned equipment. The FY2025 10-K describes ownership plus an annual software, service and support agreement on 36- or 60-month terms after a one-year warranty. An older Scientific Reports paper estimated about $50,000 per system (currency not stated), against roughly $1.2M for conventional MRI per the 10-K (currency not stated). Gleamer sells software for images a hospital already produces and takes demo requests for pricing.

Swoop suits an ICU, emergency department or resource-limited site that needs brain imaging at the bedside, with limits attached: lower resolution than 1.5T or 3T, longer scans and no contrast-enhanced T1. Hyperfine reported about $6.0M of preliminary third-quarter 2026 revenue and a $9.3M second-quarter net loss per a Yahoo Finance summary.

Gleamer is for radiology groups reading X-ray, CT and MRI. Its brain MRI line came with Pixyl, acquired in March 2025, and Pixyl.Neuro holds K213253 from June 2023. The vendor says it plugs into the RIS for worklist prioritization.
