Nanox.AI vs Subtle Medical

Subtle Medical sells image quality. SubtleHD for MR, PET and CT, SubtleSYNTH, SubtleREFORMAT and AiMIFY, a lower-gadolinium brain MRI tool developed with Bracco, change how long a scan takes or how clean it looks. The vendor claims up to 80% faster MRI sequences and up to 75% faster PET, and says it runs on over 1,300 scanners. openFDA lists eleven Subtle decisions, the newest SubtleHD-CT (K254120) on May 15, 2026. Imaging centers with a scanner backlog are who it serves.

Nanox works on CT that has already been acquired and returns findings: coronary calcium scoring, vertebral fracture detection, liver density. A peer-reviewed 2025 validation of HealthOST in Diagnostics, on outpatient chest and abdomen CT, found 92.0% sensitivity at the 20% height-loss threshold, with specificity starting at 52.7%, so false positives come with that purchase. Hospitals running osteoporosis or fatty liver programs on routine CT are Nanox's buyers.
