Osso VR vs PrecisionOS
For an orthopedic residency program director who has to justify the spend, Osso has the stronger evidence. Three randomized trials cover its own platform, in unicompartmental knee arthroplasty and tibial nailing, with results graded on sawbones and simulation exercises, and TechCrunch reported that Osso financed the UCLA trial. No study shows PrecisionOS practice improving operative performance. PrecisionOS offers a published price instead, $199 per month or $1,999 per year for individuals with a quote for institutions, plus program-level reporting aligned to ACGME. Osso routes price requests to a sales contact, and headsets cost extra. A director who must show a committee trial data before approving anything will find PrecisionOS the harder case to make. PrecisionOS's one FDA record, K210344 from November 2021, covers inVisionOS only. Osso's homepage now leads with nurse training for health systems, a buyer PrecisionOS does not list.
