Proximie vs Theator
A group of hospitals that wants every theatre recording, remote proctors dialling in and a library of cases to teach from fits Proximie. Its homepage lists HIPAA, SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001 badges, and press material describes an NHS program across 104 operating theatres. Theator fits a health system that wants the video turned into an operative report. A 158-case Journal of the American College of Surgeons study measured its AI reports at 87.3% accuracy against 72.8% for surgeon-written ones, though the homepage claims over 95% from its own metric. Proximie's studies cover education and feasibility, with no patient outcomes. No price is published for either. FDA status is open for both: Theator shows no 510(k) record, and Proximie states no FDA, CE or UKCA status. A health system whose goal is operative notes inside Epic should skip Proximie, which lists EHR integration with no vendors named.
