Augmedix vs Nabla

Only one of these two has been tested against usual care. In a randomized NEJM AI trial from December 2025 with 238 outpatient physicians, Nabla users spent 9.5% less time in notes than the control group, although the tool was used in only about 29.5% of visits. Augmedix has no peer-reviewed study, and a 2024 r/medicine post called its human scribes weak with non-native English speakers and thin on HPIs.

Augmedix fits an oncology practice on iKnowMed or an emergency department that wants specialists writing alongside the AI. Commure now owns it, and it sells Go, Assist and Live by quote. Nabla publishes no price either, and its terms of sale describe a monthly fee per authorized user in euros excluding VAT. A Nabla pilot suits a health system on Epic, where a third-party summary says it joined Epic Toolbox for ambient voice in October 2025.

A department chair who must show a purchasing committee randomized evidence will find Augmedix the loser.
