AvodahMed vs Nabla

In a randomized trial in NEJM AI (December 2025), 238 outpatient physicians at a California academic health system were split among Nabla, DAX Copilot and usual care. Nabla users spent 9.5% less time in notes than the control group (p=.02) and used it in about 29.5% of visits. DAX Copilot, used in about 33.5%, showed no significant change. Nabla has raised $120M, and its site sells a clinical AI layer to health systems: ambient notes, dictation inside Epic and coding suggestions. Its pricing page is a contact form, its Terms of Sale set a monthly fee per authorized user in euros excluding VAT, and a help-center page reports a 30-day free trial per user.

PubMed holds no paper on AvodahMed, and the vendor's figures, 20,000 clinicians and up to 60% less documentation time, come with no method. The app runs on desktop, iOS and Android, and the iOS version is listed free.

For a health-system committee that needs evidence before funding a pilot, AvodahMed has nothing to set against Nabla's NEJM AI trial. A clinic on athenahealth or Epic that wants note sync from day one has that named at AvodahMed, whose iOS app is listed free with terms not stated.
