Birth Model vs Ceribell

Ceribell is listed on Nasdaq (CBLL) and reported $28.1M in second-quarter 2026 revenue across 712 active accounts. Birth Model announced a $750K seed round in December 2025 and names one customer, The Birth Center of NJ. It says two models predict delivery within 12 minutes either way and claims 99.1% accuracy in the pushing phase, with no study linked.

Ceribell serves emergency departments and ICUs that want bedside EEG for seizures and status epilepticus. Birth Model addresses labor and delivery units on delivery timing, staffing and obstetric risk. An ED or ICU lead and an obstetric service director answer to different units, so the tools share no purchase.

Ceribell's openFDA record shows 16 clearances covering EEG headbands, headcaps and software, including a delirium monitor. The purchase terms run one year, renewing yearly unless the hospital gives 90 days notice, and according to Ceribell, CMS added a new technology payment of up to $2,171 for the delirium solution from October 1, 2026.
