GE HealthCare AI Suite vs Overjet
A hospital system equipping its imaging fleet buys GE HealthCare's AI, and a general dentist or dental service organization buys Overjet. The two share no buyer. GE's AI comes with its scanners and ultrasound systems, such as Critical Care Suite for chest X-ray (K223491, May 2023). Overjet's openFDA record shows 12 clearances since May 2021, among them CBCT Assist (K251514, December 2025) and IRIS (K253930, April 2026), a web-based dental image management system.
GE says it topped the FDA's AI authorization list for a fourth year with 100. An IntuitionLabs guide reports 120 cumulative as of the FDA list update of September 4, 2026. For Overjet, a 2026 Journal of Dentistry comparison against micro-CT put AI sensitivity for dentin-level caries at 56%, with bitewing at 75% and ICDAS at 100%. A 2025 Frontiers in Dental Medicine study of Caries Assist reported 0.69 sensitivity for enamel and 0.91 for dentin. Overjet offers a free-try link and a demo, with no list price.
