Magentiq Eye vs Philips Imaging AI

Philips AI arrives with the hardware, so a hospital imaging service replacing MR, CT or ultrasound systems gets it as part of the purchase. The FDA AI-enabled device list, updated through June 29, 2026, carries 49 entries with Philips in the applicant name and 25 of them are ultrasound systems. SmartSpeed Precise, the dual-AI MR reconstruction announced July 2, 2025, has a press-page footnote saying it is not yet CE marked and not available for sale, while the body text calls it available. The listed products run through MR, CT, ultrasound and cardiac workstations, a different department from the endoscopy unit.

Magentiq integrates into two Pentax processors, the INSPIRA EPK-i8020c and IMAGINA EPK-i5500c, under an expanded PENTAX Medical agreement, and also takes the video output of Olympus, Fujinon and Sonoscape towers. A GI practice or endoscopy center on any of those four makers is the buyer.
