Bottom line

Philips sells AI features across MR, CT, ultrasound and cardiology under separate product names. The lead ones are SmartSpeed Precise for MR, Precise Image and Precise Position for CT, LVivo for cardiac ultrasound, TOMTEC-ARENA and EchoNavigator for cardiac imaging, and AV Vascular and AV Cardiac CT for workstations. FDA's AI-enabled device list shows 49 entries with Philips in the applicant name, plus 10 for DiA Imaging Analysis and 2 for TomTec, both Philips-owned. Hospitals and imaging centers buy these tools bundled with scanners, so a site that wants one standalone AI product, or independent performance data, is shopping in the wrong place.

Who sells it?

Koninklijke Philips N.V. was founded in 1891, is headquartered in Amsterdam and trades on Euronext Amsterdam and the NYSE. TomTec was announced as an acquisition in July 2017. DiA Imaging Analysis, an Israeli company, was reported acquired in May 2023 for nearly $100M. Philips also bought Cardiologs, an ECG AI company, in 2021 per trade press.

Philips' own AI page says its AI-enabled solutions are designed to speed up workflows, give clinical insights, extend the reach of care and support self-care. It names no single imaging product.

What are the lead products and their clearances?

SmartSpeed Precise is MR deep-learning reconstruction. Philips' July 2025 press release calls it the "industry's first integrated dual AI solution," pairing Compressed SENSE with two AI engines for denoising and sharpening, cleared on 1.5T and 3.0T dStream systems. The speed and image-quality claims are Philips' own. The release gives no K-number, and its footnote says "not yet CE marked and not available for sale" while the body text says available.

The FDA list gives K-numbers for the rest:

  • Precise Image, CT reconstruction: K210760, January 2022.
  • Precise Position, CT: K203514, June 2021.
  • Spectral CT Verida Family: K253649, March 2026.
  • AV Vascular: K253735, January 2026. AV Cardiac CT: K260169, March 2026.
  • EchoNavigator R5.0: K253614, March 2026.
  • Ultrasound Workspace 6.0: K241659, February 2025. QLAB Advanced Quantification: K200974, June 2020.
  • LVivo Software Application, automated cardiac measurements: K243862, March 2025. LVivo Seamless: K243331, March 2025. LVivo IQS: K240769, May 2024.
  • TOMTEC-ARENA: K213544, January 2022.
  • Radiography 7300 C: K233662, June 2024. MRCAT Head and Neck: K214081, April 2022.

AV Viewer (K250181, July 2025) is cleared software from Philips that does not appear on the AI list. Of the 49 Philips-applicant entries, 25 are ultrasound system clearances (EPIQ, Affiniti, Lumify, Alturion), meaning hardware systems with AI features, not stand-alone software.

How is it sold?

Philips lists no price. The products ship with scanners and ultrasound systems under enterprise and OEM contracts.

The verdict

A hospital buying an MR, CT or cardiac ultrasound fleet from Philips gets these tools as part of the system. The clearances cover reconstruction, measurement and workflow tools, so "Philips imaging AI" describes a range of products and not one. A practice that wants a single AI tool without new hardware has no clear Philips product to buy, and a buyer who needs peer-reviewed accuracy data will find clearances and Philips' own claims. SmartSpeed Precise has a US clearance reported in July 2025, and Philips' own release states its CE status two ways.
