KATE vs Navina
Mednition's only funding round on Tracxn is a $10M Series A led by Concord Health Partners, announced in 2019. KATE is sold to emergency departments, and the vendor says it fits an existing EMR with zero workflow changes. Its homepage names no EMR.
Navina names athenahealth, Epic and Veradigm on its homepage and is built for primary care groups on value-based contracts. The vendor shows Privia Health and Agilon Health logos and lists HIPAA, SOC 2 and ISO 27001 badges. The Series C was $55M in March 2025. KLAS comments run mixed, with a VP calling risk adjustment strong but mostly Medicare-focused and a director saying support overpromises. The vendor-published Phyx report claims 40% less chart review time on complex visits and 92% trust in HCC suggestions, and it is not peer reviewed. Navina's risk adjustment and care-gap work sits in primary care value-based contracts and KATE's triage work in the ED, so each tool has its own buyer.
