Nanox.AI vs Tempus AI Imaging

Tempus Pixel is built for lesion work. Its radiology page lists one-click lesion segmentation on CT and MR, RECIST-style response reports, cardiac MR analysis and integration with PACS, EHR, worklist, notification and dictation systems, and the vendor says more than 100 health systems use it. Cancer centers following tumors across studies and cardiology groups reading cardiac MR are the Pixel customers. The FDA applicant is still Arterys, Inc., with K252539 decided September 3, 2025, and the breast and prostate tools run on third-party engines such as iCAD ProFound AI and Quibim.

Nanox reads scans acquired for other reasons, and radiology departments mining routine CT for chronic disease buy it. Its vendor-published Corewell Health story reports nearly 4,000 new coronary calcium patients in 2023 against 268 in the prior two years. The vendor cites 7 FDA clearances while openFDA lists 12 AI records under Zebra, Nanoxai and Nano-X AI names. For a department that wants incidental bone and coronary calcium findings from existing CT, Tempus falls short: Nanox holds K213944 for vertebral height loss and K241440 for calcium scoring, while Pixel's page lists lesion work, cardiac MR, lung, breast and prostate tools.
