Octagos vs PaceMate

Octagos and PaceMate each name Epic, Oracle Health and athenahealth, so those EHRs decide nothing. Octagos also names medent and NextGen and offers a usage-based Billable Transmissions Plan next to a fixed monthly plan. Octagos names a software-only Pro tier and PaceMate a Software tier for clinics that run it themselves, neither with amounts.

A hospital security office reads the compliance pages differently. PaceMate states HITRUST r2 and ISO/IEC 27001:2022 beside SOC 2 Type 2, SOC 3 and HIPAA. Octagos states HIPAA, SOC 2 Type 2 and SOC 3 on Azure. Where policy names HITRUST, PaceMate is the buy.

Evidence runs the other way. Octagos's AI overview page describes a 2025 JACC Advances paper on 690,673 transmissions and says Atlas AI reached 99.1% sensitivity against 70.8% for technicians, though the paper is Octagos-linked. PaceMate's 73% cut in loop recorder false positives is the vendor's figure. A 2025 Heart Rhythm paper on AI algorithms for loop recorder transmissions carries a PaceMate affiliation, with use of the product unverified, and no PaceMate paper has the product in its title. For an electrophysiology director who wants a published result on the triage AI, PaceMate comes second.
