Scribeberry vs ScribeMD
ScribeMD's pricing page lists a free individual plan, "Free forever", with no credit card, and does not say what the plan limits. A solo physician trying a scribe for the first time is its buyer. Groups, clinics and health systems get custom pricing under a contract with a BAA, and the vendor names Epic, Cerner, athenahealth and Veradigm. Its pages word compliance two ways: a "SOC 2 Certified" badge with no report type beside homepage text about "SOC 2 audited infrastructure", and a "HIPAA Compliant" badge beside an FAQ line on "HIPAA-aligned security practices".
Scribeberry's buyer is a Canadian clinic using Jane App or Juno EMR, two of the EMRs the vendor lists. It says data is stored in Canada and that it supports PHIPA and Quebec Law 25. For a Canadian clinic that wants a vendor statement on where records are kept, ScribeMD loses: its security page says the product is hosted on AWS in multiple zones and names no country.
