DermaSensor vs SimpleSense

DermaSensor works in a primary care exam room and Nanowear works in a patient's home. A primary care physician rents the handheld DermaSensor for lesions already judged suspicious. A heart failure or cardiology program issues Nanowear's cloth garment, which sends multi-sensor data to cloud analytics and estimates blood pressure without a cuff.

Nanowear has four 510(k) clearances on openFDA, while its homepage says "FDA approved". A 2025 study of 303 subjects over four weeks, written by Nanowear authors, validated the blood pressure estimate internally and asks for external validation. Third-party sources put its funding at $1.52M (Tracxn) and under $5 million (ZoomInfo). DermaSensor announced a $16M Series B on October 2, 2025 and reports $43M in total investment. Its evidence page lists multicenter prospective and multi-reader studies, and its FAQ says EHR integration will come over time.
