Navina vs Sepsis ImmunoScore

Prenosis holds FDA De Novo DEN230036 for Sepsis ImmunoScore, decided April 2, 2024. The score draws on up to 22 EHR parameters and returns four risk bands. The vendor states its intended use as adults 18 and over in the ED or hospital with suspected sepsis, not validated for ICU or Labor and Delivery. A 2024 NEJM AI development and validation study of Sepsis ImmunoScore was run by Prenosis authors. The vendor's page says it "integrates directly within the EHR" and names no EHR.

Navina serves primary care groups. A Phyx Primary Care study that Navina summarizes on its site, not peer reviewed, reports 40% less chart review time on complex visits. The vendor shows SOC 2 and ISO 27001 badges and cites a 2025 Best in KLAS win for Clinician Digital Workflow. In unrated KLAS excerpts, a director in August 2026 said its support overpromises and underdelivers, and an undated excerpt reads "Our risk adjustment factor score has improved."

An ED medical director would look at Prenosis and a primary care quality lead at Navina, since one scores sepsis risk in adults with suspected sepsis in the ED or hospital and the other supports chart review in primary care.
