Ambience Healthcare publishes no price. Third-party estimates, as of October 2026, run about $2,800 to $3,200 per provider per year ($233 to $267 per month) for the core scribe and $4,000 to $5,000 per year ($333 to $417 per month) for the full suite. Other roundups go to $500 to $700+ per month. None of that is an Ambience quote, and the estimates predate its outcome-based fees. We checked every source on October 14, 2026.

How much does Ambience Healthcare cost per provider?

Nobody outside an Ambience contract can tell you. We read ambiencehealthcare.com on October 14, 2026. It lists no price. It says "Our fees tied to your outcomes." The Ambience Standard page adds that the company backs "every promised outcome with our people, our platform, and fees tied to results." How those fees are calculated is not explained. Contact is by email to info@ambiencehealthcare.com. There is no self-serve plan, no trial and no small-practice option that we could find.

The numbers below are estimates, each labelled with its source.

  • Core scribe (AutoScribe): about $2,800 to $3,200 per provider per year, or $233 to $267 per month. The estimate traces back to Sacra-type analyst work and is repeated by eesel.ai, sacra.com and soapnotebuddy.com.
  • Full suite (AutoScribe, AutoCDI, AutoAVS, AutoRefer): about $4,000 to $5,000 per provider per year, or $333 to $417 per month. Same estimate chain.
  • $250 to $500+ per provider per month, and up to $400 to $500+ with all modules at small organisations. Estimate from Keragon-type roundups.
  • $500 to $700+ per provider per month on multi-year contracts. Estimate, same roundups.
  • $300 to $500+ per provider per month. Estimate from a roundup by DeepCura, which sells a competing scribe.

The best-cited numbers share one ancestor. Three pages repeating one analyst estimate are not three confirmations.

What do you get for the money with Ambience?

Ambience is an enterprise ambient platform known for its auto-coding (HCC and ICD-10). It lists HIPAA, SOC 2 Type II and HITRUST. Third-party roundups describe the modules as AutoScribe for the core scribe, plus AutoCDI, AutoAVS and AutoRefer in the full suite. We found no EHR integration list and no outcome data from an independent source, so we quote none. The per-seat estimates below depend on which modules you buy.

Why does Ambience quote instead of listing a price, and what changed in August 2026?

Ambience has not published its reasons, and its fee structure gives one practical answer. A third-party report says that since August 2026 Ambience has moved to "The Ambience Standard" contracts that put fees at risk against measured outcomes. The per-seat figures above predate that change.

When part of a fee depends on outcomes, the invoice depends on what is measured, by whom, and against which baseline, so a single list price does not describe the deal. Deal size and module choice vary as well. Risk-sharing can favor the buyer, depending on the details. We do not know which outcomes are used, what fraction of the fee is at risk, or whether a floor applies.

Our post on DAX Copilot pricing covers Microsoft's scribe, which has no public price either, only a reseller figure.

What moves an Ambience quote up or down?

Third parties describe the structure as an annual licence per clinical FTE plus a one-time implementation fee covering EHR integration and specialty template tuning. Beyond that, we are reasoning, not citing.

  • Modules: the gap between $233 and $417 per month is whether you buy the scribe alone or add coding support (AutoCDI), after-visit summaries (AutoAVS) and referral tooling (AutoRefer). Decide what you will actually use before you accept a bundle.

  • Outcome-based fees: ask four questions in writing: which metrics, who audits them, what the floor is if a metric is missed, and what happens at renewal if the baseline moves.

  • Seat count: larger systems normally get lower seat prices. No third party gives an Ambience discount schedule, so we will not invent one.

  • EHR: integration work is the main line in the one-time implementation fee. We found no published amount.

  • Contract length: the highest estimate ($500 to $700+) is tied to multi-year contracts. Whether a longer term lowers your price or raises it depends on how the outcome clause treats renewals.

What would 25 clinicians cost on the Ambience estimates?

Plain arithmetic on the estimates, not on a quote. At $2,800 to $3,200 per provider per year, 25 clinicians cost $70,000 to $80,000 a year for the core scribe. At $4,000 to $5,000, the full suite costs $100,000 to $125,000 a year. Implementation comes on top, and the outcome-based clause can move the total either way. A real order form could land outside this range.

What do clinicians say about Ambience?

No usable clinician review of Ambience turned up. The one on-topic thread is an r/FamilyMedicine post from July 2023 in which a physician says they are "looking into deep scribe and ambience healthcare AI options" and asks for thoughts. It is a question, not a review.

Reference calls with other health systems will tell a buyer more than any public review we can point to.

Who should and should not buy Ambience?

Buy it if you are a health system with its own analytics team and a procurement lead willing to negotiate metric definitions. Outcome-linked fees only help you if you hold the measurement process: your own baseline from the 90 days before go-live and a contract clause fixing the definitions.

It fits less well for a smaller practice, or for a buyer whose procurement process needs a fixed number for next year's budget. Ambience sells to enterprise health systems, and we do not know the minimum size. An at-risk fee structure also makes a budget forecast harder, and the estimates above sit above the listed prices of self-serve scribes.

What is the cheaper alternative to Ambience?

Freed AI publishes its prices. On October 14, 2026 its pricing page listed Core at $59 and $79 and Premier at $119 and $104, with a 7-day free trial and no credit card. EHR push sits on the top tier, so check your EHR before comparing. For a health system, the comparison is the quoted price from Abridge and DAX Copilot, none of which is public. For a ranked field across price points, see our guide to the best AI scribes. The Ambience profile is at /tools/ambience-healthcare.

Suki is the other enterprise name with no public price. See Suki pricing.

What do we still not know about Ambience pricing?

  • The list price, discount schedule and implementation fee.
  • The outcome metrics, the share of fee at risk, and any floor.
  • Whether the per-seat estimates reflect any signed contract.
  • Refund terms, trial terms and small-practice pricing. None found.

If you have signed an Ambience contract and can share the structure with identifying details removed, we will add it and credit the buyer type.
