Eko Health vs VisualDx

In year one, Eko with its AI membership ($318.99 at the $199 sale price) and VisualDx Elite ($299.99) land within $20 of each other. The CORE 300 lists at $249, the AI requires Eko+ at $119.99 per year, and Elite is billed annually. On current prices, two years come to $438.98 for Eko and $599.98 for Elite, arithmetic that assumes the sale price holds and both renewals stay at the listed rates.

VisualDx is a lookup, with a ranked differential, the vendor says 50,000+ clinical images across skin tones and body sites, and AI image analysis inside its paid plans. It states no FDA clearance, and a 2020 vendor FAQ for its DermExpert app says VisualDx is exempt from FDA regulation. Eko's murmur analysis software was cleared as K213794 on June 29, 2022, and AFib detection runs on the CORE 500.

Eko's AI is cardiac, so a panel heavy on rashes is VisualDx's, while a panel that sees many murmurs is Eko's, whose algorithms carry 510(k) clearances.
