A systematic review of symptom checkers rated Symptomate, Infermedica's older consumer checker, at 27.5% top-3 diagnostic accuracy and 97.8% safe advice. The vendor states EU MDR Class IIb and says its software operates under FDA enforcement discretion. Fabric's symptom checker comes from GYANT, which Fabric acquired, and the platform is aimed at a health system that wants a digital front door with a provider network behind it. Fabric publishes no symptom checker validation on its website, and its evidence is vendor case-study titles such as OSF saving $2.4M in one year (currency not stated). A clinical governance committee that wants study data before signing passes over Fabric for Infermedica.
