Infermedica vs Steer Health

Infermedica states that its Medical Guidance Platform is certified as a Class IIb medical device under EU MDR and registered with the UK MHRA, and it says its software operates under FDA enforcement discretion in the US. A $30M Series B led by One Peak in January 2022 sits behind it. Steer Health sells Halo, its triage agent, inside a seven-agent platform. Halo's page lists clinical symptom evaluation protocols, red-flag detection and acuity routing to ER, urgent care or telehealth, and claims 99.2% triage accuracy and 35% ER diversion with no method given. Steer's FAQ says it is HIPAA-compliant. A US health system choosing a triage agent for its call center can buy either. For a US clinic chain that wants triage, a scribe and a financial agent under one contract, Infermedica falls short, since Steer's platform page lists seven agents including a scribe and a financial agent, and Infermedica's line is triage, intake, follow-up and a call-center voice agent. Infermedica fits a European or UK health system or insurer that wants a certified triage engine, or a developer building on its Triage API.
