What is Tali AI and who sells it?

Tali AI is based in Toronto. It was founded in 2020 by Mahshid Yassaei (CEO) and Hesam Dadafarin (CTO) and started as a voice chatbot answering COVID questions for clinicians, according to CanHealth. A financing round announced on 8 November 2023 was co-led by Esplanade Ventures and TMV, with DigiTx Partners, MaRS IAF and WELL Ventures. Amounts were not disclosed. ZoomInfo puts it under $5M.

What does it do?

The website describes an AI scribe producing structured notes, decision support for dosages and guidelines, form filling for disability, insurance and referrals, billing code suggestions, task management for follow-ups, and support for in-person, virtual and phone visits.

Supported EMRs in Canada are Accuro, CHR, Healthquest, Med Access, Medesync, Profile and PS Suite, and the FAQ adds Oscar Pro. In the US the list is Net Health, Practice Fusion and Veradigm.

Tali states that it is SOC 2 Type II certified, compliant with PHIPA and PIPEDA, and HIPAA compliant with data residency options. It says data is encrypted in transit and at rest and that it never sells your notes or recordings or uses them to train third-party models. No audit report or trust center is linked from tali.ai.

What does the evidence say?

The accuracy and time-saving claims are Tali's own. It says its notes were ranked in the top 1% for accuracy and quality by the US Veterans Affairs, that accuracy exceeds 95%, and quotes a physician who says it saves two hours a day. The source of the Veterans Affairs ranking is not given. A sponsored Substack post claims Tali leads Canada Health Infoway-issued licenses with more than half of Community Health Centres.

Which Tali price is current?

Tali's pricing page showed two overlapping layouts in October 2026. One lists a free plan (5 AI scribes and 60 minutes of dictation a month, with a 14-day Pro trial), Premium at CA$50 a month with unlimited dictation, Pro at CA$150 a month with unlimited AI scribes, and custom Enterprise pricing. The other lists Starter at $60 a month with 40 scribes, and Pro at CA$68 a month with the code GETPRO100, down from a struck-out $100. A Commure roundup (2026), written by a competitor, quotes Tali Pro at roughly $100 a month and describes the free tier as permanent with volume caps. A Lindy roundup, also a competitor, cites a start from $49.99 a month. The feature table has a Student / Resident account row with a free account noted and no details. Group discounts exist without published rates. Clinics can buy one license each or procure several together.

The verdict

A Canadian family physician or small clinic on Accuro, PS Suite or Medesync should start on the free plan, since it gives 5 AI scribes a month and the right EMR list at no cost. The paid tiers are harder to judge while the two price layouts disagree. The security and accuracy claims are the vendor's own. A US group that needs an audit report in hand before patient audio leaves the building should pick a scribe that links one.
