What is Sunoh.ai and who sells it?

Sunoh.ai describes itself as an AI medical scribe that turns a provider-patient conversation into a transcript and drafts progress note sections. The vendor says it is trusted by over 100,000 healthcare providers (sunoh.ai).

The site's copyright line reads "©2026 healow", so the product belongs to healow and eClinicalWorks. eClinicalWorks announced the integration on 20 October 2023 (eClinicalWorks press release), the earliest date attached to the product.

What does it do?

According to the vendor, Sunoh.ai handles several accents and dialects and multiple languages. It supports custom templates and fields, runs on desktop and on iOS and Android, and helps stage orders for labs, imaging, procedures, medications and follow-up. Commure, a competing scribe vendor, says Sunoh.ai also suggests ICD-10 and CPT codes. The vendor's own page does not list coding.

Which EHRs does it work with?

The vendor names athenahealth, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, Epic, ModMed, Practice Fusion and Tebra. It also offers an EHR Sync browser extension for web-based EHRs, which is free but requires a Sunoh.ai subscription (sunoh.ai). How deep each integration goes, for instance whether notes write back as discrete data or arrive as pasted text, is not described.

What does it cost?

The pricing page reads "Starting at $149 per user per month for a limited time", with a crossed-out $199 beside it (sunoh.ai/pricing). The $149 includes implementation services, voice recognition and a BAA. Billing term, trial length and refund terms are not published. A Capterra reviewer reported paying about $200 a month, and Commure's review says the scribe is a paid add-on, not bundled with the EHR. Group and enterprise pricing is custom.

What about privacy and compliance?

The vendor states that "no hardware or software by itself is HIPAA compliant" and that it signs BAAs as required. SOC 2 and HITRUST status are not stated by the vendor, and whether recorded audio is used to train models is not stated either.

What outcome data exist?

The outcome data are vendor-published. An eClinicalWorks case study describes a Dallas-Fort Worth pulmonary and sleep clinic saving two to three hours a day (October 2026). It is a customer story the vendor chose to publish.

Who is it for?

A multi-provider eClinicalWorks practice is the clearest buyer. It gets the scribe from the EHR vendor, a BAA in the price and a mobile app for capture. An athenahealth shop can use it, but athenahealth includes its own scribe, athenaAmbient, at no additional cost (athenahealth, August 2026 release summary). A solo clinician will find $149 a month steep next to a self-serve scribe such as Twofold, which advertised a first month at $19 in a December 2025 end-of-year offer (Twofold help center).

The verdict

Sunoh.ai is the scribe to price first for an eClinicalWorks practice. For a practice on another EHR, or a solo clinician, the case rests on the promotional $149 and on a SOC 2 status the vendor has not stated, and there are cheaper scribes to compare.
