What is OmniMD AI Scribe and who sells it?

OmniMD Inc. is a privately held company with an office in Ahmedabad, India. LinkedIn gives 201 to 500 employees and a founding year of 2001. The homepage claims 20-plus years of healthcare-only expertise, and the scribe page claims 12,000 providers in 600 clinics.

The vendor's headline is "Finish Every Note Before Your Next Patient". It says the note is typically ready for review in under 90 seconds and that nothing becomes final until the clinician reviews and approves it.

What does the scribe do?

The scribe converts speech to text into specialty templates and separates speakers across patient, provider and nurse. Output formats include SOAP, DAP and APSO, plus custom templates. A feature called Know Your Patient pulls history, medications, allergies, prior encounters and risk indicators into the scribe workflow. If the connection drops, the FAQ says audio is buffered on the device. A single click sends the note to the EHR.

OmniMD shows cardiology, behavioral health, internal medicine, family medicine, pediatrics, ambulatory surgery centers and pain management as example specialties. For integration it lists SMART-on-FHIR, HL7 and API bridges, with Epic, Cerner, athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, Allscripts and its own EHR named. Setup is "live within 48-72 hours of contract signing", per the FAQ.

How solid are the compliance claims?

The homepage badges read "HIPAA-aligned safeguards", "SOC 2 Type II: Operational alignment", "HITRUST: Framework-oriented controls" and "AES-256 & TLS". That wording describes alignment and not a certification or report. A separate homepage sentence calls the EHR "HIPAA compliant, ONC-certified, cloud-based EHR with SOC 2 controls and standard BAAs". That sentence is about the EHR product and does not mention the scribe.

What backs the accuracy claims?

OmniMD advertises 98.65% accuracy and 4.15 minutes saved, with no study or method behind either number. The third-party ratings that exist cover the EHR: Software Advice rates it 4.5 and SoftwareFinder rates it 4.1 from 43 reviews, while Gartner shows no reviews.

Capterra reviewers of the EHR describe outages, lag at peak hours and offshore support, and one says the system was "down multiple times a month". A March 2026 Software Advice review praises responsive support, a user-friendly interface and specialty templates. The scribe page carries two testimonials, from a psychiatrist, Dr. Kanwaldeep Mann, and a vascular specialist, Dr. Mayank Patel. OmniMD's FAQ lists its own scribe first among "top 5 AI medical scribe solutions".

Is there a price?

OmniMD shows "Request a Demo" and "Get Pricing" forms and no price. Its FAQ gives a market range instead: most AI scribes cost $100 to $400 per provider per month. Its blog splits the market into free or freemium at $0 to $49, mid-tier at $100 to $350, and enterprise at $400 to $750 or more. The verdict

The scribe suits a practice already on OmniMD's EHR, where the integration is native and one company supports both products. It is a weaker fit for a practice that wants independent accuracy data, a published price, or a SOC 2 or HITRUST report in hand before signing. Practices on other EHRs get a long integration list, but the only accuracy numbers in circulation are the 98.65% and 4.15 minutes that OmniMD itself advertises.
